November 23rd was the web conference for the end of the first week. I was not able to attend the web conference earlier in the week but was able to attend the one that one because I was not able to get off of work in time. This web conference was extremely helpful in making the assignment easier to understand. I was struggling a little bit with the scope of the project. I needed to create a video that told a digital story. After looking at the resources section and the stories from other classes I had an idea, but was really uncertain about what I could do to make this work. Dr. Abarnathy really helped to clear things up here. She gave some insight on what the credits to this video should look like and she also helped to focus some of the questions. One piece that stood out beyond highlighting the assignment was the changes that she told us they were making to the program. In january we will have to meet with a professor in small groups and discuss progress that we are making and specific standards that we will be working on. These face to face conferences will take the place of the site visits that are in place now. Overall, this sounds like a good thing, and can only help to strengthen the program.
